Sapa is home to various families of flowers of captivating colours, which can be found nowhere else in the country. When Tet, the Lunar New Year Festival, comes, the whole township of Sapa is filled with the pink colour of peach blossom brought from the vast forests of peach just outside the town. Sapa is regarded as the kingdom of orchids. Here, orchid lovers are even amazed by the choice, when trekking in the forest filled with several hundred kinds of orchids of brilliant colours and fantastic shapes, such as Orchid Princess, Orchid of My Fair Lady's Shoe. Some orchids are named after lovely singing birds such as the canary, salangane's nest, and more.
Sa Pa is a town in the Hoàng Liên Son Mountains of northwest Vietnam. Popular with trekkers, it overlooks the terraced rice fields of the Muong Hoa Valley, and is near the 3,143m-tall Fan Si Pan peak, climbable via a steep, multiday guided walk. H’mong, Tay and Dao hill tribes make up much of the local population

21:00. Our bus will pick you up at your hotel and take you to Hanoi Train Station for the night train to Sapa. You take overnight in a soft lay down cabin.
22:00. Train departed. You will sleep on the train to Lao Cai. Travel time approx 8 hours.

06:30. Arrive in Lao Cai and be transferred by shuttle bus to Sapa, which gives your eyes a massage with the endless blue sky and colorful terraced paddy field. The road is curved around the mountain and you will just go from one surprise to another. The further you go, the closer you are to the sky and to nature.

On arrival, you will stop by our office and leave your luggage and possibly take a shower in our hotel’s waiting room.
09:30. We started to visit Love Waterfall. On the way you will see the wonderful views of Hoang Lien Son Mountain Range and some plantations of roses and vegetables in the valley.
Love Waterfall
Our car will stop at Tram Ton Pass which is the highest road in Vietnam at 2047 m above sea level. We will then walk about 1.1 km along the Golden River to visit Love Waterfall. After returning to Tram Ton Pass, our car will drive you to Silver Waterfall. You have 30 minutes to walk around this area to enjoy the stunning views of the mountains and valley.
From here we will start the trek down to the valley towards Sin Chai village - the home of Black Hmong people. After having a picnic lunch, we will walk to Sin Chai village.

Then come back to the main road to be transferred to Sapa town on a jeep for 3km. Dinner at the local restaurant and overnight at a hotel or homestay in Sapa.

DAY 2: Y LINH HO - LAO CHAI - TA VAN VILLAGE - NIGHT TRAIN BACK TO HA NOI (B/L/-) |
07:00. Enjoy breakfast at your hotel or homestay.
08:00. You meet your guide and start trekking. The first part we will mostly trek downhill Y Linh Ho hamlet. The trek offers some stunning views of the rice terraces, gardens and FanSiPan mountain ranges.
After going through a suspension bridge, we start walking up to Lao Chai village.
There we are experiencing the richest traditional culture of Black H’Mong people in the region. The trekking route offers a breathtaking view of vegetable gardens and rice terraces with green mountains rising above. There will be time for visiting with local families and learning about their traditional fiber processing.
Lao Chai - Ta Van Village
After this you continue to Ta Van village to visit Zay people. Zay is a fairly small minority group of about 38.000 people who live mainly in the mountains in Northwest Vietnam. Ta Van is a small village set within a picturesque valley not far from the northern Vietnamese mountain resort of Sapa. The area is renowned for its colorful ethnic minorities, and Ta Van is home to two such groups.
12.00. Picnic Lunch by the side of the river.
The rest of the few hours in the afternoon is for freshening up, packing and rest before leaving Sapa for Lao Cai station to take the overnight train back, which arrives in Hanoi early next morning.
